My Z28 is black as well and I currently have the C5 Z06 17x9.5 rims on it in chrome, but for some reason I've always been partial to silver rims on black cars...they seem to "show up" better IMO. However, I plan to keep both sets just so I can the look of my car from time to time
Thats still a pretty good deal. silver ones go for about $400-$600.

Yours are 19x10 all the way around, correct? So with spacers on all 4 corners, there's no reason why I can't go with 275/30/19's all the way around without any problems, right?

Well depends on the tire brand. I was worried about putting 285/35 Kumho's on cause i didn't know if they were as wide as the stock goodyear 285/35's.
I HATE that tires not as wide as the wheel, so the rim edge sticks out of the tire look.
The 285's fit PERFECT. not too wide and not too skinny.
Oh and i would run 1.25" spacers on the rear and 1" spacers on the front in your case.
here's another helpfull thread.

I've already got a set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S in 275/30/19 and they're 11" wide. My current Firestone Firehawk SZ50's in 275/40/17 are only 9.5" wide.

If I run a 1" spacer (adapter) on the front, will I have to grind a little on the stock studs so the wheel will fit flush on the adpter?

Oh yeah, SUX2BU, do you still have those 1" adapters for sale? If so, please email me pics at blk98zm61@hotmail.com

No. They will stick out of the adaters about 3/16" but the area between the stud holes on the wheels are recessed.
