15" prostars with 5/16th spacer and i still have to grind?

Default 15" prostars with 5/16th spacer and i still have to grind?

i just bolted on my 15" prostar 3.5"wide on the front with a 5/16th spacer and they spin alitle then hit the calipher, they dont hit it ALOT but its enough that i cant turn the wheel by hand.

how common is this? is the rim bent?

are some cars that different

They fit with no grinding on my 96 and fit with a 5/16 spacer and no grinding on my 00. Maybe your calipers have some extra material. See where it hits and grind them down.

Do you have new brake pads? That makes a difference alot of times.

i didnt have any problems with my prostars and 5/16th spacer.

I had to grind mine with the same spacer.

Yea, if you had old pads and got them to fit with spacers without grinding, or even grinding and no spacers, once you put them back on with new pads they'll rub in a few spots.

Do you still have LT1 brakes? Much better clearance than the LS1 style...

i jus put brake pads on mine and new welds 3.5 in the front and i had to grind some

are you sure it's not the spacer itself hitting the mount for the caliper. when i first put mine on (same setup) the spacer wasn't centered and it would hit at one point in the revolution. just a thought

i put a 7/16 spacer on mine and still had to grind a lot. i dont know how people are getting away with a 5/16 and no grinding

with brand new pads and a 5/16 spacer i didn't have to grind my 3 1/2 inch draglites at all

No spacers here...but an hour and a half's worth of grinding on each side...

And then an hour on each rear one to clear the 15x10's...

I still taste and smell metallic dust....lol.
