I saw these wheels in the new summit catalog, I'm very interested in them but hate the idea of waiting on a list for them right now.... last time I waited for something it took an additional two months past the first date. Summit has the sizes I need in the prolite listed on backorder until march at the earliest. they show the dragstar 15x8 5.5" BS on backorder until may!

It depends on your track rules and what rear you have in the car. In a stock rear ended car (or stock studded car) the closed ones will work just fine. But if you have longer studs you will probably need the open end ones.

yeah the lug nuts thing stinks.... $45-$60 on nuts. and they aren't offering package sets to save a buck.
if you go to the track a lot the open ended ones will probably save you time going through tech. esp if you have extended studs.... when they see stud sticking out, they don't have to ask you pull a lug nut to show them how deep it is. but if its a street/DD a closed end nut protects the threads from rusting up.

Correct me please if I am wrong, but looking on Summit's site I don't see rear rims listed that fit with the stock rearend:
http://store.summitracing.com/egnsea...15&Nao=0#rstop
We would need 15x10 with between 7.0 - 7.5 backspacing.

yeah, seems kinda funny they're claiming them as 'made' for the LS1 F-body then.... the 15x8 5.5" backspace has a note about being designed for fox body mustangs with 5-lug swaps (it's also the wheel I need to run a 8-9" slick on my RX7, funny huh?). I'd also like to see another backspacing option on the 15x3.5 wheels... like 2" or 2.25" BS.
funny, ship-by dates got pushed back more.... they had January dates on some stuff two days ago. I don't expect them to ship before June, if ever.... which stinks, for only $100 more, I'd really like to run these over the summit/jegs knockoff crap, they look better and weigh less. I guess I'll keep watching for something that'll fit & that I like used...

well screw that then if they wont fit, aren't the centerline's still an option?
does anyone make a 15x10 with 7.5bs that wont break on the street.. im not afraid of a lil grinding..

We can get 6.5 in a 10. 6.5 with a narrowed rearend 1 inch per side would work. My Centerline Warriors have 6.5 backspacing and don't stick out - but my rearend is narrowed 1 inch on either side.

Don't know if 1/2 inch will be noticable or not if the rear end is not narrowed.

I was going to buy a set, but, I guess my money would be best spent making some progress with carpet and battery replacement ... would hate to buy the tires only to find out the date gets moved pushed out further, then, still have to wait on a list. Oh well, I guess this summer I'll look for a used set for cheaper. AI'd also like to stay tuned and see if folks here can really mount them without having to grind calipers.
