depends on the weight, its extra rotational mass that you don't want, plus it stresses components like your brakes.

A lot of people have TT IIs on their F-bodys, but I still love them. You really cannot go wrong. IF you wanted to save a little, look into the Torque Thrust M...it's similar, but closer to the Mustang "Bullitt" wheel. It's worth the extra to get TT IIs IMHO. I also like the 200S, which was used on some GMMG cars I belive.

As for hurting performance...the farther the rotating mass is from the axle centerline, the more torque it takes to turn it. So in a way, it's robbing torque that would otherwise be converted into thrust to move your car forward. For the same reason, it works your brakes harder.

I personally love the split 5 stars on the birds and you can pull off 19's and still lower the car and they don't look gangster at all. I get mass compliments on my wheels and they are 19's

that is some serious ground clearance. everyone has ttII including myself... i think u should stick with those...because no matter what they look good.
