Default OK, time for new wheels, according to everyone!

evening y'all...

seems as if the common opinion of everyone, is that I need to get rid of the wheels that came on my new '00 T/A.... the place I got it from put 20" wheels and new tires on it, and it looks "flashy" and gets a lot of attention, but.... I hate, and do NOT want to be associated with the "thug" look....

so.... I am thinking of selling these, and maybe going with 17's and lowering the car, it'd probably handle better and look nicer.... ????????

now.... I'm hoping someone has some suggestions as to what kind to go with????
(Yes, I know this is a broad subject to be searched, but I'm just hoping someone has some ideas on something that would'nt be a down-grade from the wheels I have!)

basically, I need to find something in a polished look, that does'nt appear to be stock wheels (I like customized things!)

thanks!!!!!

clean T/A man. I would change the set up for sure, as listed above there are lots of wheels that look awesome on our cars. Depending on the budget you have the higher priced custom wheels with CCW and Iforged going for roughly 2500ish a set, (w/out tires) Or you could go with something more affordable like the TT2s or Rebels. Alot of people might bash the TT2s for being overplayed but they look awesome... especially if you get 17x11s with 315s in the rear Tomzwheels always has killer deals going

All of the wheels pictured up above are pretty nice, I like the FM10's myself, anything is better than those ghetto *** 20's.

what kind of budget are you looking to stay with? i think that Center Line Sundance Daggers in 17x9.5 would look sick on an f-body, personally....but they are a bit pricey....not as much as Fikse's, but still pricey. and they are polished wheels instead of chrome, so cleaning/upkeep could be a bitch if you don't like constantly having to keep them maintained

with these wheels, you'd definitely be unique....i've yet to see anyone else with these wheels. i'm sure they probably exist, but i haven't seen any, personally

hmmm, if I saved some money and went with the Rebels or something like that, I could save the extra I would have spent, and try to find a ram-air hood

does anyone have more pics of the Rebels?
thanks for all the help!

I agree that the dubs gotta go! Rebels looked pretty good. I'm thinking of going with C5 Z06 rims for my Camaro though.

How would rims like you have now only in a smaller size look? I think the only problem with those is they are too big. Do they come in 18 or 17?

I'm really likin' these.... I just gotta figure out how to sell the wheels/tires I have, then get the new wheels quickly, cause I am driving the car!

I have also heard the 20's may be hurting my "get-up-and-go" speed???? anyone know about this? I would'nt have thought wheel size would affect performance?
