Question Best Street Radial

I am looking into getting a set of rear tires for my 2000 WS6 that will optimize track performance and driveability.

The current wheels that I have are: 18” Chrome Weld Evo Wheels BC-19 (series 009--1 piece forged wheels)

Thanks for the help!

You might get some better responses in the "Wheels and Tires" section...

I don't really cant answer your question though, except don't get Fuzion ZRi's, they suck for traction.

Are you looking for a street radial or for a drag radial tire?

Is there such a thing as getting the best of both worlds? But street radials are what I am looking for.

nitto dr's are considered the best street drag radial as far as the mileage you'll get out of the tires and their ability to cope with rain. they arent supposed to be used it freezing temperatures and really dont work that great in the rain though.

how much hp are you making?

MT ET Street Radials for Traction...but deadly in the rain. Nitto DRs would be better in rain. I had outstanding traction and handling from my Toyo Proxes on my SVT Lightning..

im looking at some nitto drag radials also cuz i hear they are the better street drag radial. but i hear drag radials are somewhat scary in the rain. so im wondering if there is any tire that can hook up as good as a nitto drag radial on the street but still safer at high speeds and rain? im thinking like the toyo proxes, or even kumho mx's?

I've had both nitto dr's and bfg dr's and I liked the bfg's alot better in the rain and on the street, but I'm not putting down as much power as you. Just keep an eye on this thread some more people will chime in and tell their experience.

just answer these questions so we can help you more..

Whats more important, traction or longevity?

Will you drive in the rain?

Are you moiunting these on the wheels you have now and how wide are the rears?

Traction is more important. I do not plan to drive it in the rain.

I am just interested in a tire that will give me the best traction on the street and track. All other factors are not important.

in that case, mt et dr's or bfg dr's if you want them to last a little longer, or the nitto dr's if you want them to last even longer but sacrifice some traction.

mt are best dr's for the track, nittos are best for street, bfg's are a nice mix of both. but if you just want traction and dont care about how long they will last go mt dr's all the way
