Default DOTs or Slicks?

Hey guys,

I'm doing my winter planning, and trying to decide on what tires to run next season.

I don't know if M/T ET Streets will be good enough...I'm wondering if I should step up to slicks and skinnies....and if I do that, I don't know what tire to go with, what size etc

also, I guess I would need some Prostars? what spacing would I need for those?

403rwhp till 5000+RPM clutch dump....I might be spraying off the line, haven't determined that yet

what should I do? and how much $$ am I lookin at dropping?

I think the ET Streets would be fine, atleast you can drive it to the track that way. I like a 28" tire on a 15x10 with 7.5" bs. The 325/50 ET Streets look killer too. For the front the 15x3.5" rim with 1.75" bs is what you want and a 26x7.5" Mickey Thompson front runner is a nice front tire to go with. As far as the 5K clutch drop + some spray off the line, what rearend do you have? Time to step up to a 12 bolt or 9" if you haven't already.

*edit. Just saw you have a 9" rear. *

The front runners are roughly $200, $400 for the rear ET Streets, 15x3.5 Prostars are $280, 15x10s are $420. So that's roughly $1300 for wheels and tires.

No problem. Try a search for the 325/50 ET Streets and see if you want to go that big or not. Usually you'd have to do a little fender clearancing to fit them, but in the end the look is definately worth it.

yeah youll have to grind the calipers. although about your tires.. in an M6.. bias ply tires are suppose to work better than radials.. or in your case et streets not et street radials.. although youll have to ask some m6 guys that have run both to see what they say.. MT says manual=bias ply.

I was planning on ET Streets, not the ET Street Radials....I should beable to get some more wrinkle in the tire.....is this thinking correct?

Any chance the tire will spin on the rim? screws?

On the ET Streets they skip from the 295s up to the 325s. A 275/60 is a 28" tall tire that should fit without any problems.

I'm running 275/60/15 MT Drag radials and love them. I have ran about every tire and am happy with these the best. One thing I really like about the drag radials is you don't get the swaying motion in the back end like you do with soft side walls. As you can tell from my sig pic, they work!
