You have to be kidding me, right? As a local Kansas City boy, I've been in the former Weld Racing plant, and seen what kind of QC they had there. There are plenty of employees past and present that could tell you stories that would make you take anything from Weld Racing, both past and present, off your car. And, if you think Greg didn't know the stuff that was "slipping" through QC, you live in a fairytale world. That, and he was just a dick when he came into my old place.

Oh, and the sunken in lug nut look reminds me too much of the Jegs and Summit private label rip off wheels.

Hope I don't get banned for this, I'm sure I'm breaking some kind of policy by talking about a vendor.

I like my Convo Pros. Does anybody have anything against them? They are made in the US and are just as light, if not lighter, than majority of the drag wheels out there.

I've used Convo's and Warriors, and haven't had problems with either one.

That sucks! But that leads me to have many questions...
-What actually failed?
-What was the root-cause of the failure?
-What did the manufacturer say?

Looks good, but how much of the rotor can you actually see? I like the skinnier ones where you can see the rotor (mainly b/c I bought some nice new slotted ones)

but If I remember correctly, you didn't have to grind?

I just got my summit cat and they are in there, but there is no info on where that "manfacturer in the world that has invested the millions of dollars and has the research and design it takes to produce a quality cast wheel" is located. If they are made in china count me OUT

ADMIN here.

Just talk about wheels, and keep the non-tech content off the board.

Back on point, are these wheels SFI?

Agreed. I would like to know also if these are SFI certified. Will these wheels really be out in Feb? Or are the lawyers likely to push that date back?

According to the newest Summit they are NHRA and IHRA approved, also street legal. It does not mention SFI as some of the other wheels do...
