Help with ZR1 cleaning
Help with ZR1 cleaning I've currently got ZR1 replicas. the problem is that they're just the polished or silver, whatever one it is that isn't coated with any type of Protectant. I'm tired of having to take 4 to 6 hours out of my weekend every month to clean them well. So my question is, is there any way to clean them nicely, smooth them out and then clear coat them to preserve the fresh look.
I'm debating on using a very high grit sand paper and then buffing them after that and finally clear coating them but I don't know how it'd turn out and don't feel like having to replace a set of rims I fucked up because I'm retarded.
Any info or suggestions on what you would do is greatly appreciated.

I wouldn't try the clear coat, think about it if you clear coat that it'll dull the look not to mention get yellow aftertime. I would try as a polishing substance, adams wheel polisher idk but that stuff polishes wheels to look chrome pretty damn good and its just a rub on rub off kind of stuff.
I use some stuff that works real well. I bought it at a motorcycle show. It comes with polish and sealer. I will post what it is when I go home for my break. I think it was like $20 for both bottles. But it works great. I use AtoZ wheel cleaner and clean them real good. Then just use this polish and then the sealer. Turns out good. Will post it when I get back from break.
