Default Ok...dumb question, but I want to be sure...

I was at the NHRA race today (err..yesterday, whatever) and I found some sweet new American Racing rims in the manufacturer's midway. I asked the sales rep about the price, and he asked me what size, and for what car. After I told him, he said "those wheels are for Corvette only". Now, maybe I'm wrong but, don't Corvette wheels fit F-bodies? Is there a difference in Vette vs. F-body wheel fitment, or was this guy just being a dick?

BTW: They are 17x9.5's, offset = 54, backside = 7.375, and bolt pattern is 5x4.75 (all of these numbers are from AR's web site).

I'm sure most of you guys know this offhand, and I would appreciate any help. Thanks.

Those would bolt right up with 275/35/18 tires on there...
