i have the 315s on the back of my 02 WS6 firebierd and for the money,i dont feel bad at all when i leave a 275 ft burnout when I leave work. They handle great at the track too. Some of my best ETs were on these tires. They ride good also even at speeds in excess of 140 mph. Yes, you can say I put these tires to the test.

I've been down the GS-D3 road on a daily driver and let me tell you I will NEVER do it again. Yes they hook, yes they are badass, and yes they have great wet traction, but for the money and the lifespan. I felt like a complete jackass for spending $1200 on them. Sumos work fine for me.
I got to agree, I cant see spending big bucks for tires on a car that sits 95% of the time and the other times the speed is rarely over 70 mph, a crusier does not need $200 ea tires, these work just fine, YMMV
PS-I buy Sam's Club hi-octane gas too
