Default 275 drag radial vs a 315

I have the stock 17 SS wheels with 275 nittos on the back which I want to run but on my car right now I have the TT2 rims with 315 pilot sports on the back. I know I can fit the 315 nittos on them but are they needed for me. I have basic bolt ons full exhaust, lid, yank 3600 and shift kit and car goes 12.6

Is a 275 drag radial all I need like maybe switch to a MT 275 when the nittos are done? Also how much will it hurt my time by going with the 315 nitto on the TT2 because I know they have to be alot heavier then stock wheels too but will it cost me alot of mph and tenths or not too much?

Thanks for the help

Yea I know the bigger the tire the better just not sure if I should go with a MT 275 40 17 on the stock SS wheels or get a 315 for the TT2s. I think the MT 275 should be enough for the power I have but Im not sure

to tell you the truth, it just your preference on which size tires you want to run, the 275 will work good and so will the 315. really it is just which rims looks better on the car, and decide on that factor. if the tt2 look better on the car go with the 315, if the stock wheels look better go with the 275. Me personally i like the way the wider wheel and tire look in the back.

Yea I like the big tire look on the back but I put my stock SS wheels on it today because I got the car with the TT2 on it and they sat out all winter and are very dirty gotta find a way to get them clean. I have nitto 275s on the stock SS wheels and they were better but not as good as I had hoped my traction was gonna get.

its more rotating mass and more weight...unless your putting down some power or are having traction problems i wouldnt waste going up...

Put the 315's on your stock wheels.
