Wheels for C4 Corvette
Wheels for C4 Corvette I just picked up a 1996 Red C4 Corvette and I am now in the market for a new set of wheels. Its at the transmission shop right now so I do not have any pictures of it at the time.
I have been looking at C6 Z06 wheels and C5 Z06 wheels. I would like to have atleast a 10in wide wheel in the rear.
I found a set of all black C6 Z06 wheels that are 18x10 in the rear and 17x9.5 in the front for $584 shipped to my door.
I found a set of machined face C6 Z06 wheels that are 19x10 in the rear and 18x9.5 in the front for $654 shipped to my door.
I am still looking for other options and will not be ordering wheels until i get it back from the transmission shop so let me know what you think i should get.

Go with the all black, that will look mean on a red car.
One other option is the black standard C6 with the polished lip, those are nice too. Deanasdork has them on his red T/A, it looks awesome.
I'd also stick with 17/18"s, I think a 19" will look a little big on a C4, since they originally came with 17's.

No doubt Black center FM5's would look killer. Honestly I would stay away from a C6 wheel on a C4 corvette same if I had a C5 and were looking to put a C6 wheels on it. If it were mine I would either go with some FM5's or a set of black ZR1's with 11's out back.
FM-5s were the plan until i started buying more cars than i expected. I can still buy the FM-5s after I sell my project car but I would much rather have that money in my bank account than dish out that kind of money on wheels right now.
Black ZR1's are nice but i have seen them alot on red C4 Corvettes so i am not wanting them. I want a wheel that not everyone has put on a C4 Corvette and thats why i have been looking at the C6 Z06 wheels.

This is just my .02 so take it for what its worth. I really don't like the C6 wheels on anything but a C6. If I had that car I would get some black ZR1's. 11's in the rear and 9's up front.

Thats a really common wheel on the C4 Corvette. Like i said earlier i would like somthing that everyone doesnt have.
Then go with something nice and different. Like I said, I just don't like the C6 wheels on anything but the C6's, even then I like the LS3 wheels better than the LS2's.
