It'lll be a little stretched. Even my 295s aare a little small for the wheel. But i've seen 275s on a 10.5" rim.

how come it seems like some people have to modify...and others dont...would this have anything to do with different rims, like the offset or anything

Totally depends on the wheel / offset / tire size.

Not every f-body is EXACTLY the same either. Also, If some of these guys that say they didnt do any modification dont drive their cars everyday, they may never have rubbing issues. Due to the fact that they may not expeirence the rough roads and all the suspension travel that comes with those roads. My wheels fit before I BFH modded or installed a PHR. But when i would take real hard turns or hit a bad bump (accidentally of course), theyd rub. I doubt my wheels would rub now even if I hit a jump

Most common would be 275s or 295s. Depends on sidewall as well but both of those section widths run fine on a 10.5
