I can get them gold plated for you if you wish. Sometimes too much "pop" is a bad thing. Mike was going after an exotic/performance look, not bling or flash.

If I wanted bling, I would have bought Pimpstars.

I paid just over $3000 for the wheels themselves. I look at the SP500s as well, but the spokes are a little too thin for my taste. They're a great looking wheel, just not what I was after.

I was originally planning to just swap out my black Fikses for another set of FM5's, but do 17x9.5/17x11 with technipolished centers. For not a whole lot more, I got the DPE's, and I love them. Similar sized Fikses are a lot more expensive for some reason.

Fikses aren't common, by any stretch. However, it's nice to know I have one of THE first sets of 4th gen F-body wheels from DPE.

Looks great. I am a fan of that I guess it's similar to Fikse's technipolish (looks almost brushed, not polished. maybe it's not even called that, but I've seen fikses in the same finish so who knows...), so the wheels definitely appeal to me. Not like I could afford it but what are happening to those Fikses that were on your car

Personally, Im not a fan at all(doesnt fit the car IMO). I'd take the whored out tt2s over those . I think if you would have got a set of the technipolished fm5s with 11s in the rear it would have looked sick... stepped lips

Holy crap, that's one of the funniest videos I've ever seen.

"Hi! I'm Tony!"

LMAO

Wheels look good, Mike. That's a lot of dough!

I can understand you not liking them as much as a stepped lip, but to say they don't fit the car is a little crazy.

Oh well. One less person I have to worry about buying a set.

The good news is, I think they look great, and frankly, mine is still the only opinion that matters in this case.

I agree, im glad you like them . Luckily we all dont have the same opinions(and luckily I like cheaper wheels . IMO they'd look better on a vette. But I think your car needs some exterior mods to "fit" the wheels better(ie. get tint/diff hood/etc?). once again, just my opinion.

You know, looking at them again, I think the wheels work because there's no outside modding to the car. No hockey sticks, no SS hood or spoiler, no whistler or berger mod, nothing. Simple and clean and lowered to boot. The wheels enhance that clean look. And because less is always more, it works.

Delicious. What a great wheel choice; it's so refreshing to see a 4th gen without ZR-1 or C5 Z06 wheels.
