A few tips ...Using a 10" wheel or 8" wheel doesn't affect the wheels positioning. Adjusting backspace it what affects positioning. The area where a larger wheel may be more difficult to fit would have to do with the actual inner shell interfering with brake bleeder, bumpstop etc.
For example, if we initially built a 8" wheel with a 5" backspace, we could sit tire tread in the exact same position by using a 10" wheel with a 6" backspace.
The difference of a 10-8 inch it slightly changes the side-profile of the tire. The wheel size does not magically reduce/enlarge the tire. Always pick the tires first THEN pick the wheel. The car will be more stable using a tire that is fitted appropriately. Against contrary belief (as with the typical 4th gen F-body setups), some people reference a 10" wheel with a 7.5" backspace and/or suggesting an 8" wheel with a 5.5" backspace putting the tire in the same spot. This is NOT true! Though you are taking 2" off the larger wheel...taking the 2" off of the backspace would set the tire sticking out further than it originally set. You'd need to use a wheel with a 6.5" backspace on an 8" wheel to have the same effect...something we can do but others cannot/won’t do.
A wheel hitting a caliper mount does not have as much to do with backspace as how the center of the wheel is profiled.
If you need more assistance, I’d be happy to setup you with our Bogart wheels. Our products are generally lighter than most offering better 60ft times, shorter braking distances and overall better performance. We also have the ability to customize the wheels to meet most goals without caliper grinding issues etc.
Good luck!

You're welcome. I'd suggest anything from the P1 section for your application. Prices will not be shown as depending how we build the wheels, the price changes as well. We do not build a one size fits most wheel. If you want a comparison between say a weld prostar...by using them, you're leaving ~50lbs of converted static weight on your car...there is that much of a difference, our wheels are setup with show-quality finishes using high-grade aluminum. All wheels are not created equal.
