Default Opinions needed ASAP!

I think I already know the answer to this, but I'm gonna ask anyway...

A friend let me borrow these DR's for the Pass Time event here at Montgomery Motorsports Park tomorrow.

I didn't realize that they were in as bad a shape as they're in. Both tires have some cord showing through, even though it looks like polyester/nylon.

I guess what I'm asking is, would you put these tires on your car for a couple of passes?

I'm really leery of them, and I guess I need somebody yelling at me to keep my impulsive side from saying "Screw it, I want to look good" and strapping them on there.

Main thing is, I don't want to be the guy who wrecked his car on Pass Time.

What do you guys think, Yea or Nay?

That's what I thought when I saw them. Just wanted to confirm with you guys. Street tires it is. That just means I'll be in the low, low 12's, vs mid-11's.

screw that. Have you seen the damage a tire can cause to your car if you have a blowout?

I know, that's why I was disappointed when I took a good look at the tires. I was so excited all week, 'cause I thought that I was gonna run a new best on TV. I guess can just hope that they prep the track well so I can cut 1.7x's on my Sumitumos.

It would be better to run on street tires than putting those on there and having a blowout in the middle of the track.

You know Allen we have some slicks in our garage, and ours do not have cord showing.

If you want em let us know we will be out there tonight in the HOSS.

His street tires are looking pretty thin too...I noticed.

Ran a 12.32 @ 111 on Sumitumos.

The contestants didn't guess below a 13.2x.

Could have run faster if I knew the car was gonna hook as well as it did. It felt like she was on DR's anyway.

The track sprayed 95 gallons of VHT Friday, and 55 gallons Today.

I know I could have gotten another 11 on street tires.

Video later.
