Inconsistant wheel wells from one side to another....?

Inconsistant wheel wells from one side to another....? hey, I just noticed that the passenger side rear wheel well on my car has more tire clearance at the 2 o'clock position than what my drivers side does at the same place (10 o'clock). I have about an 3/4" or so between the tire and inside wheel well on the drivers side and maybe 1" - 1 1/4" on the passenger side. Rims are 18x9.5 (+53mm offset) and my axle is centered on the car. Has anyone else noticed this?

Re: Inconsistant wheel wells from one side to another....? Is the car lower on one side, like a weak spring or is it parked on an incline? If everything is ok that way, maybe the rim has a different backspacing than the other. Unless it was cast wrong or the tires are screwed up I don't know what could be wrong.

Panhard linkage is going to push the rear end to
different clearances. But I think you'd like a
little more driver's side clearance as that's
where squat is going to push the rear - as the
Panhard gets closer to horizontal the rear will
move away from the upper mount.
