TSW Indy Wheels. AHH help me decide.
This whole finding out all the wheels i want to purchase are discontinued thing is getting old. All started with the Hpr-5 wheels. I finally came across these TSW Indy 500 wheels. They are in my price range. I really like them. Heres the thing. Only the 18x9.5 wide wheels come with the 45mm offset. 35MM WONT WORK UP FRONT RIGHT? Is 9.5 up front to wide up front you think?????????? Heres a pic. Anyone have some pics of them on our cars?
They remind me of Ruff 278s i believe they are. Ill shut up now.

I dont believe 9.5 is to wide up front, tons of people run 9.5's all the way around. I may be wrong but during my search for wheels thats what i gathered. As for the offsets thats a tricky subject, one im not qualified to deal with. But i do know that some members here run 18x9 American Racing Rebels with a 25MM offset, which seemed odd to be but they said they fit fine, while others say it rubbed sometimes
Also what exactly is your price range? I did tons of searching so i may of came across something of your liking

Id like to keep the price of just the wheels under a grand. Just bought a house so funds are not what they used to be. Really like the offset (deep dish, lip) look. Loved the HPR5s even though it had rivets...but they are now discontinued for our bolt pattern (or close to it) Anyone else got any info?????

that offset will work fine. it's a toss up for these or the ruff 278s. the center around the lugs is better on the 500s but the 278s look like they have a better looking spoke. i'd go with whether you like rivets or not. so i'd go 500s. but i like those 278s too.
i like the envys also but didn't want rivets.
envy>500>278s. all look like nice wheels. but i'd have to weigh price too.
these cray wheels look good too. they're on ebay. a 19 and 20 combo is about $1300 shipped or you can combo 18x and 18x10.5 for about a g.

18x9.5 with a 45mm offset, or 18x8.5 with a 35mm offset are pretty much perfect for a T/A. The only thing you have to watch up front is spoke clearance...the Ruff 278 18x9.5 will not fit up front with a 45mm offset because the spokes smack the caliper. They do fit the back perfectly though.

i can get the indy's 18x8 with 35mm offset up front and 18x9.5 rear with 45mm offset.
found a pic of the tsw on a goat. I think they look great.

Best thing to do is call the company or at least a company that sales them to see what offset will work. Just by the looks of them the 9.5 with 45mm offset might work....it depends how far the spokes curve back in towards the calipers. They look like they don't curve as far back as the Ruffs. 9.5 is not too wide for the front, I think most of the CCW wheels are 10 wide in the front.

I had tsw volcano's on my car. They were 19", but still 9.5" rims w/ a 45mm offset on all 4 corners. I had a huge lip on all 4 wheels and had no issues w/ break clearance. The front wheels were PERFECT as far as offset goes, the rear, wish they weren't as quite tucked in as they were. Here is a few pictures:

Looking at those wheels, I think that 18x9.5 might work in 45mm offset up front. Really the only way to know is to try it...but the Ruff 278's have a much deeper dish, and the spokes curve alot more. The TSW's might work because of the shallower dish and flatter spokes.
The 278's in 19x9.5 (45mm) do fit up front because of the increased diameter...they don't leave alot of caliper clearance though so brake upgrades would be out of the question.

I would have to agree with Blackbird, it all depends on the spoke design. Some designs will fit and others do not as is the case with our Ruff 278's. Just looking at the offset, yes the 9.5" with 45mm will fit fine up front, but it all depends on the spokes.
