good call, i drove 3 hours (each way) to my tuner with some old 275 nittos. it was not fun, you just got to drive real careful in the rain, and watch out for puddles!

Hoosiers = no way.

New MT radials (315/35/17 style) do alright, Nittos always drove just like regular tires as long as they weren't bald as hell. Bias-ply MT's = no way.

Nittos and BFG are okay when nearly new. About half worn, they suck in the rain. Just don't drive fast, because if they let go they reallllly let go.
Yes it was in the rain, I didn't think it was necc to state that due to the thread title, but I appologize anyways. Before I took it on the expressway I tried to launch it from a stop on a side street, it didn't sping bad at all. I started off slow, but eventually got to 75 and it felt just like my street tires did in the rain.

My 315 BFG dr's do fine in the rain as long as you keep speeds down and don't goose the throttle.

i have 255/50/16 mt et street radials. my brother always told me to never drive with them on in the rain. my BFG DR's did just fine (if not better than my street tires, not sure why), even with the 40% tread when i bought them.

my MT's aren't bad, they are a little touchier than the BFG DR's. still haven't had any close calls with them. had more instances of losing traction with street tires over my DR's... maybe it's just because i'm more careful with them on.
