Just drove in the rain with the BFG's didn't break 45 mph though, it was a short trip. They did alright. As long as you remember that you are driving on dr's and pay attention to what is going on and don't speed! You should be ok.

Round trip to KC in steady rain on Nittos - 350 miles. Felt a little twitchy a couple of times but no problems. I was a little on edge while driving though because of bad reports I've read.
Except for short trips in town and the like, I would only do it on Nittos, and new ones at that.

Nittos and BFG are okay when nearly new. About half worn, they suck in the rain. Just don't drive fast, because if they let go they reallllly let go.

i drove 3.5 hrs yesterday in light rain with my nittos, but it wasn't pouring and i was pretty carefull to stay in the spots without pooled water. i changed lanes once and hit a little puddle and decided that if the rain picked up, i was going to push the 40 mph minimum on the interstate.

I had 315/35/17 BFG's drag radials and I was driving on Interstate 10 in the rainstorm that had some severe patches and I didn't drive over 45mph. My drag radials were about 4 months old and had several trips to the track. I was driving 45 and a semi truck blew by going approximately 75-80 and shook my car to the point that it started hydroplaning into the other left hand lane and got hit by another semi. Bye Bye Procharged Trans Am. Just make sure your drag radials haven't had to many trips to the track. Thats just my experience.

i have had 4 sets of nittos, 2 sets of bfg's, and 1 set of mickeys and the only ones i will drive in the rain are nittos
mickeys are on my car now and if it drizzles or rains lightly ill just be careful and drive slow, but if it is fuggen raining ill park my car wherever it is and have someone pick me up. same was with the bfg's. i have spun out and completely lost control with bfg's with 75% on them
nittos are actually not that bad, ive done multiple 500 miles trips on them in the rain (you can never drive from miami to tallahassee without it raining at least half the way) and as long as you drive like its raining youll be fine.
another thing is that 315's are WAY worse in the rain than 275's. think of it like a water ski. fatter the water ski, easier to get on top of the water

I've had the same BFG radials for over a year now. They have plenty of track passes and easily 2500+ miles of street usage. They are on separate rims but I'm usually too lazy to swap them out. I've driven in the rain, and even a bit of ice/snow and they drive just like a regular tire. Don't act crazy and nothing will happen unless they are just flat out bald.
