Help me choose a MT tire
Hi guys. I'm looking for some new rear tires. I've narrowed it down to the MT ET Street Radials. Either:
3743R P275/40R17 26 X 11.50R17
OR
3744R P315/35R17 26X12.50R17
OR
3745R P295/45R17 28X11.50R17
The rims I'm using are the TTM 17x10.5. All of these should fit on the rim fine but what other factors should I consider? Also I'm not sure the last one on my list will fit into my wheel well cuz it's 28X11.5.

Go with a et street or et drag . Radials are a4 tires. Do like alot of people do find an extra set of rears and put some et streets on them and get some skinnies with non radials on the front for drag day.

i suggest the 295/45 because you are just gonna blow those 26" tires off with that stick. they'll fit fine because they are closer to 27 than 28. i have a friend with these and they look good on his car

On the 17" wheel...the 26" tall tire is stock. So sidewall is fairly low.
But they will still stick great.
Remember...going with a taller tire also messes with the gearing a little bit. I went to a 27" tire this season...hooks better, traps higher, ET's the same. Feels a little sluggish for the first 1/8th.
I will probably go back to a 26" tire myself once these are done.

With the 26" tires on the car for the street...it feels like it has a little more 'pep' around town in the lower gears.
I honestly kind of expected it. I put the 27" tires on because I hope to run in Texas at some point this year.
