cool no sweat. the main objective for them was to fit over a ls1 rear brake. so they only brought the ones for that. Im would think the 3rd gen brakes are smaller like a lt1. I have no idea though. So worst case you might have to grind a little bit.

The newer 3rd gens (I am not sure of the cutoff but I know for sure the 91-92 cars) use the same size rears as LT1s. Same calipers and everything.

yes they do use the same pbr brake set up on the later 3rd gens. I currently have drums on the rear but once my 9 inch comes in i have a set of used ls1 brakes going on so was just wanting to know how they would fit.

Yes I have read this whole thread, i know you only are the test fitter,i wasnt refering to you in anyway, i thank you for your time and efforts. i was talking about greg weld, they claimed that the first series of wheels fit, they werent even close, so no they are going to revise them and make a new design, those fit better but now what they should with no grinding, i was asking if they were just guessing or they actually have a ls1 car there to confirm the fit. like try to fit the wheel to the car and then make the adjustments to make the weel fit. not 2 faliures in a row, billet specialties made it work, mabye greg weld should talk to them..

They don't have an in-house car to constantly be trying stuff on but dlove and I went over yesterday for them to have a car to test on, and we'll be going back when they get the 7.5's in.

Billet Specialties work in the rear but not the front. You have to grind to get the fronts to fit, or run spacers. And they are almost 3 times as much as the Greg's.

a few hundred dollars is too much when you can just be patient and get a direct fit wheel for half the price or better that looks dead sexy. if you've got the money than why are you wasting your time looking at the cheaper rims?

Couldn't have said it better myself.

And I don't want to spend that kind of money on RACE rims. If I did I would have bought Bogarts.

i talked to mike earlier as he wanted a gto to test fit on and he was looking over the designs and the place doing the casting and tooling freaking screwed up...they were missing a little bit off the pad and also the thickness was off and also the angle of the drop center was actually a couple degrees off...once those changes are made they should have a little bit more clearance
