Default Best way to clean chrome wheels?

I just have stock chrome TA wheels. Right now, I'll just rinse them off with water and wipe them down with a wet towel getting all the junk off them. After I wash the car and use tire foam spray on the tires, I'll spray the wheels with glass cleaner and wipe them down again. What's a better way to keep them clean? Some kind of chrome wheel cleaner? Softer towel to go along with that? Thanks.

Soap and water is the best way to keep them clean. I use meguiars wheel detail spray to clean up any overspray from a tire dressing.

Scrubbing with a towel won't scratch the wheel?

Agreed

My car never goes out for long enough to get very dirty. I can use quick detailer and a microfiber cloth to keep them clean. The car hasn't been washed with water in many years - no need.

Thats how mine is but then I feel bed for not washing it. So i usually end up going out and washing every so often just so I don't feel like I'm neglecting the car.

I wax my chrome stock T/A wheels once in awhile just for protection and the 'non-sticking' effect that goes along with waxing. Mothers or Meguiar's waxes are fine. No issues.

Soap and water if they are really bad you can use simple green on the and then wax then with regular auto wax to protect them.

If your chrome has a bunch of doodoo, this stuff works wonders. I just did 2 sets a few weeks ago that were NASTY using this and a soft wheel brush and they came out hysterically clean.

Make sure you're not rocking polished aluminum, or it may jack up the surface.

Soap and water. When I wax the paint, I'll wax the wheels too. Also, spray the tire shine onto an applicator, then apply to the tire. Keeps the spray from getting all over the paint/rims.

Also, be glad you don't have these on your daily driver, they're a total bitch:

I'm really lazy (that and the wheels aren't terribly awesome to begin with), so I usually just hose them off while rubbing with my hands or a soapy cloth. As you can see in the attached pic, this generally doesn't result in great looking chrome after a while.

Left side: before chrome polish
Right side: after chrome polish

I use NuFinish... Not really marketed as a chrome polish, but they say it works (and it definitely looks like it). I'm just using up the bottle I have on rims instead of the car paint.
