'01 SOM SS - need help picking wheels
i'm having a helluva time deciding what wheels to put on my SS. i thought the black-centered TTII's would look good, but they made the car look too "halloweeny" for me. i've decided i'm going to lose the CF grill, and probably leave the berger panel, but i gotta get some polished/chrome/machined wheels of some kind on there.
i'd start a poll, but i really have too many wheels in mind. a few are non-sponsors, so i won't mention them. but i'm digging the full-polished Fikse FM5's. i'm wondering what iForged Seneka's or Fikse FM10's would look like too. i've done lots of searching, but all i can find are Z06's and TT2's on SOM cars, Camaro's anyway...
throw out any thoughts/suggestions. i don't really want to just strip the TT2's down and polish them up, i think they're getting kinda overdone, although still look good. TT2's (IMHO) look best on TA's. i want something different. SOM camaro's are fairly rare (in real life, not LS1Tech), so other more popular designs aren't out of the question since you don't see too many SOM cars out and about. here are a few pics of the car now:
sorry for the kinda long post, i'm just needing some input here...
thanks,
ben

17x9.5/17x11. i haven't posted them for sale yet, but i got a guy in KC wanting to trade me for some 17/18x10.5 Z06's and he's throwing in a set of WS6 wheels. i'll probably do that, then sell THOSE later on to get a higher quality wheel.

i LOVE those wheels, BUT that's a $4K mistake i don't want to make. i'm afraid they have too much open space for the look i'm after. if i had some huge-*** brakes to show off, maybe...but i don't. the 505A's offer a look i'm thinking i'd be more inclined to like...not sure though.

And yes put a 3" Sunoco hood on that bad boy, I love those hoods on Camaro's, if I had a Camaro that would be my hood of choice.

i think you have the right idea with the polished fiske fm5s..those rims would look PERFECT on you car. i would stay away from black.. stay with chrome or polished. Some ccw 505as would look killer too..or even the new deep dish y2ks that just came out

you guys are making this easy on me i wish Fikse or iForged or whoever would have a "open house day" where you could bring your car in and test fit several different designs and see what you like. Photoshop never comes close enough

here's a quick PS job i did, this car is orginally black. i want my grill done like his, and those Z06's are actually my old wheels. i sold them to this car's owner over mofbody.com, a local forum. i'm in talks with a guy in kansas city about trading my TT2's for some 17x9.5 & 18x10.5 Z06's as mentioned above. i can deal with that look again for a while until i get some new high-quality wheels. here's the pic:
