What tires for a 600WHP DD?
Just wondering what tires you guys are running?
Im gonna have about 600WHP/TRQ on my DD T/A. Idk whether I could use my 18's with some nitto 555R's or DR's on 15's or 17's... also 275's or 315's
Someone said width doesnt matter for straight acceleration and that doesnt make any ******* sense.

Well if you don't care about the mileage you are getting out of the tires than maybe the BFG drag radial is for you. I've seen others run this tire with 700rwhp. They aren't bad from what i hear. I think you could get those in a 335 as well.

Hoosiers are what you want. You need a tire that'll hold 600rwhp, you don't drive in the rain, and you don't care about mileage. Hoosiers will be perfect. I'm in the EXACT same boat as you with what I want and don't want out of a tire and I'll be replacing my BFG dr's with Hoosiers when they wear out.

i would only use a nitto 555r dr if i relied on my car for every day commuting.
its too big a risk to use an mt, a bfg or especially a hooser because it is for certain that at some point in the future it will rain.
i use an mt dr but if its wet out i play it safe and rock mom's jeep to work. i am luck now i have that option.
600rw isnt much, you will be fine with the nittos.

ive driven the hoosiers through a rain storm. som-bitch popped up out of no where on me. it wasnt too bad, couldnt go over 40 (just find an old lady to follow and stay in her groove) and dont go over 2000 rpms. when its damp out after a shower or something they are fine.

Yea i definetley laughed when i saw that. Ill look up some Hoosier DR's. I didnt know i could fit a 335... That would be sweet.
So i guess i want some 335 Hoosier DR's, after... I roll the fender...??? and the BFH mod.

if you want it to hook, go 17's. you'll have more sidewall and hence marginally better traction.
i'm gonna run 305/35/20 Nittos on my new wheels...it's going to be pathetic, traction-wise that is.

Well i was looking through a bunch of pics of cars with 335's and i see that guys are running 335/30-18's, on 10.5 C5 Z06 wheels. Idk whether i should do that...
get some 17 x 11 C5 Z06 wheels to match my fronts ...
or get a set of 15 x 11 drag wheels for the rear and some wider 'skinnys' for the front.
IM GOING CRAZY!!!! Little decisions that make such a difference!!!
What im looking for is for someone to tell me that ill be able to launch decently with the 18's. What do you think? as a reminder.. this is a 600WHP DD.

if you want the best hook, then you are just gonna have to go with the 15's. its totally up to you. tough decision, i know. or do you want the look of the 17's?

I know cobras usually are running 18's and use a 305 nitto if i remember correctly. Now those guys are usually pushing 500 sometimes 600 and seem to do ok. From a dig, eh maybe not. Are you running this on the street or the track? Maybe get two sets of wheels if its a track car.
