Firebird Double DIN bezels
#84
Didn't want to leave you guys hanging but wanted to give you an update as well. I didn't get accomplished what I wanted to before I had to have my back surgery. Unfortunatley my 5 hour discectomy for 2 severely herniated discs turned into an 8 hour surgery due to complications last Wednesday the 3rd. I am back on my feet with a walker (like an old man) and have had to hire a very close friend of mine to get out regular orders for speakers and such out for me. As far as fabrication, it's going to be a few weeks before I get back in the workshop and start back on these. I am pushing hard to get back to working on fabrication and have even gotten one friend to build me one of my own amp racks that I had an order for.
I do plan on doing more of these and completely understand any frustration on the wait of these but over the last several months I've had a pretty hard time of it. Basically I've really only been capable of doing a few here and there while focusing on audio sales mostly vs. custom fabrication work.
I do have bezels here and as soon as I get to feeling stronger will be back at them hard core.
Thanks for your support guys and again, I apologize for the delays!!!!

All right guys, sorry for the delays on these, I just got back in town and I've been super sick the past few days.
I have sold off the 4 bezels I just made and I have 2 more Firebird ones in the works I am fabbing up as we speak (actually 3 but 1 is sold already to a member here with a new unit as well).
I will be getting in a few more bezels here soon.
As for the Camaro one I am still working on it and think I have found a piece I can use that is suitable. I cut the bezel this afternoon and the new piece looks like it is going to work nicely. No promises yet but I definetly want to fab this one up first before I do anything on them because I want it to be right. I also want to be able to duplicate it so I am taking mental notes on cuts and what not.
I will be doing a write up soon on how to make one for those who want to try it. I took some pictures of the last one I made from start to finish. I didn't realize all the steps I was going threw until I actually stopped to take pictures for each step. It of course doesn't show all the small stuff like cutting the plastic pieces and getting showered in hot melted plastic, the extensive sanding it takes to blend everything, etc.
After this month I won't be able to make many of these as I will be having surgery on my lower back December 3. I am trying to get as many of these done as I can so bare with me!!

Saw this forum and was wondering how much you charged for a camaro bezel if I could get one at all. I would send you a bezel to get chopped up.
Hope your feeling better after the back surgery, I'll keep you in my prayers man.
