^^My idea was to mount them via a bracket using a stud off the mirror and a 10mm nut (the one on it). I think that is what he did, I honestly don't remember now... I'll find out soon.

Any updates? What you described should be fine since the tweeter part of the triangle should hide the large black nut. I am definitely getting a pair of these whenever they are ready. I was going to mount them into my a-pillar, but this will be better placement.

I'll have to look again, but I don't see how you can easily put that 10mm nut back on once you have the tweeter pod on. Is it a straight shot through the tweeter opening ?

I've been trying to figure out a cost effective way of being able to mount them, with the tweeter in first, as many tweeters need a bracket from the backside to hold them in place. But as I've never been able to come up with something that will work at the price point people want to buy these at, I've been stuck with just friction mounting the tweeter cup once the pod is already fastened to the door.

...good luck.

On my personal car I mounted an L shaped bracket to the nut. I then screw the tweeter cup onto this bracket and it holds everything in place

THIS IS OFFICIALLY DEAD IN THE WATER UNFORTUNATELY. Person making them has decided time is not on his side for doing a venture like this

Since it looks like the targa might be dead in the water as well, do you think it would be possible to get one of the fiberglass prototype pieces you had in the beginning? I think I might be able to do the rest of the work myself...

Where are you located? Kind of not looking to have another long distance "relationship" at this point

I was just thinking of maybe something to work off of to make my own. I don't think I could handle mass production. If you could hook me up with one of the fiberglass pieces (I'd use a hardtop off a car, but it kinda boring looking) and I managed to get it 100% I'd be more than willing to send it back and see if you could find someone else to pop a mold.

Would it still be possible to get the prototype pieces that were made? (Kind of like you mentioned before, as getting those as the first pieces of the actual sale?) I could paint or coat them myself, I just don't have the skills or the means necessary to attempt the fiberglass work. Thanks for trying 6LE, I know it's not your fault. It's a sad day when people like that don't want to help the F-body world.

It isn't that he doesn't want to help, he's just working 70hours at a job and moving into a new house...

I asked about buying a set off of him but haven't heard back. I have another guy I'm talking to, going to try everything again...

Ah, Ok, I can understand that.

I'll keep an eye out for any updates from you on whether or not you can get a set. Thanks 6LE

That's the last thing I'm going to do (no offense). If these pods don't work out (I really hope they do though), I'll tuck them in the pillar pointing at the windshield. More hidden, sleek, and out of the way in my opinion than just picking a random spot in the door and putting them there. If I were to do that, I'd just keep them in the stock location.

Thanks anyways though, not my style but maybe someone else would like it. You should post some pics.

I'm starting to think that might be the route I'll have to go too.

Is there anything to update us on 6LE? A set of the prototypes from the last guy, or any progress with the new guy? Thanks for trying but it looks like this may be turning into a lost cause. I'm still hoping though.
