am I reading the directions wrong when they say to use the stock screw/hole? Should I be drilling a new hole in the sheetmetal?

I bought a set of tweeter pods off here a while back. The guy I got them from used the stock screw hole. There was basically a hole cut out and I just used a washer around the screw to hold it in. Tho, 6LE's dont look to be made that way. And mine also kinda point downward. Its not too bad when your sitting in the driver's seat.

Here is the stock panel.

Here is where the stock screw goes.

The one way that these are mountable, where the screw holes line up, and the lines of the mold with the triangle, ends up aiming the tweeter backwards.

Here is how I would assume these are meant to be mounted, but there's absolutely no way the recession for the screw in the mold could possibly line up with the stock screw.

You can see the screw inside the hole.

How do I mount these? Even when I fit them in the last two pictures, the tweeter seems to aim kinda down-ward, where I would have assumed they'd aim directly at the driver's face. Also, the other edges of the mold don't seem to follow the triangular area quite right, like they do when I turn the mold backwards.

Thanks in advance!
No offense but I literally "lol" when I saw it upside down, looked good that way

Back to business, I think I am retarded then. I based the hole in the tweeter pod off a hole I had on my factory piece. I haven't had the stock ones there in awhile so maybe this was a hole I had drilled for the old pods?!

Regardless, there is a hole there that lines up as I mounted a set over the weekend in a buddy's car.

It looks like the factory hole would have been in the way of the tweeter regardless.

I'm sorry for the confusion, I would just recommend using a self tapper (or drill a small pilot hole first to be safe) in the metal where the tweeter pod hole lines up.

Maybe I was using the hole for the plug/piece part of the triangle?! Again, I'm sorry for the confusion but it should still mount fine... You have my card so feel free to call if you need to as well. I'll get some pics as soon as the rain stops...

Yeah, total brain fart in my directions write up. You should be able to use A stock hole but not THAT stock hole. There is another hole that it will line up to... HOWEVER in this pic...

I'm pretty sure you have the passenger side pod on the driver side. This would explain why it shape seems off as well...

Sorry for the confusion man, you guys were the first run and I obviously screwed up the directions

If you order a set just e-mail me and I'll get it done for you. It will just delay shipping a few days... No extra charge though (if you are buying off the site at normal price, not any of the sale prices, like the last Black Friday Sale).
