I have been messin with stereos for a long time, and in my opinion it makes a huge difference. make sure that you put it EVERYWHERE. If you do small parts it will make a small difference. Return on investment is huge. Think of it this way, luxury cars have more sound deadener than say, a Honda. And thats the difference. Roll down your windows and listen to your stereo, then roll them up. Thats the difference no inside road noise makes.

I would say foam is far more important than mass-loading. Get one roll of RAAMMatt and some Ensolite or Overkill from Second Skin. The one roll of RAAMMatt will give you good though not complete coverage of the car.

In fact, I'd rather get a small kit of whatever mass damper and do the problem areas and foam the whole floor pan with 2 layers than cheap out and just mass-load.

Also, avoid that ED crap.

How much of that do you need? To make the car look like the one on the first page? I see that the bulk pack is 36 square feet you would need more than that right? to do the whole car with on layer?
Or atleast I would think.

Does it really?? I'm going to apply sound deadener to the rest of my car after I finish both of the doors (got one done)... Don't plan on dumping $1k into my system though. Maybe $250 at most.

You need around 100 sqft. I have 150+ sqft in mine. I did under the the car in the tranny tunnel as well.

Just another point of view.
From a driver/rider point of view-- These cars have a ton of road noise anyway. Talking to a passenger can be a task. Seriously. Get in a Maxima or Altima or Camry even. Then get in a newer firebird or camaro. Lots of road noise. I spent over $1500 on my system (thanks to ebay) otherwise everything was going to be around $3000 for the same stuff and I am already kicking myself for not putting it in and I am not even driving the car yet (project car that needs 2 moldings installed on a fender and then a highway patrol inspection to be street legal. Then off to some sound competitions we go!

The foam is MUCH better for road noise than mass damping.
