I did something similar with my 01 and 02 ws6 cars. I also used a Dynamat product in the floorboards that had a lead backing and foam. Put those pieces in the floorboards. That helped alot as well. Alot of road nosie was coming up thru the floor boards.

Thumbs up

Brian2006,
Did you put a layer under the dash pad, and a layer of closed cell foam rubber(Overkill Pro) inside the doors on the outter door panels?

I put 5ea. 8" x 12" pieces of overkill pro in each door, 2 right behind each door speaker, and the other 3 spread out. and also 2ea. 8" x 6" pieces behind each sailpanel speaker.

IMO, I thought it made a noticeable difference, especialy with my door speakers!

Merry X-mas to you all!

I did not do that. However, that does sound like a good idea!

it was cold in my garage and it wasnt sticking well, after that pic i took a wooden roller (i think u can see it in one of those pics) and a heat gun to heat up the adhesive, after that it seemed like the stuff was falling into place, i am really happy with the way it looks, however i think im going to try to get some thicker stuff and do a second or even third layer in the spring.

Read some more because their new design does not do this. I did a lot of research on the product before hand and spoke with elemental designs. Their new design uses butyl rubber which is the same material that all the higher end products use.

im curious as well. i ordered it on sunday and it is scheduled for delivery tomorrow the 31st... talk about quick shipping... i can't imagine the interior taking to long to remove. i would guess no more then about an hour to remove everything. looks like i will have a project for this monday, then as soon as my springs come in i will have to install a Bmr kmember, aarms, and koni 4/4's with strano springs yipeee!!! if the OP doesn't mind i will try to post some before and after sound clips to go along with the install pics.

Interior (Bird) in my experience isn't too bad at all. The worst thing when I was putting in my sound system was the damn clothes hangers... They have some sort of special clip built in them that was a complete bitch to get out without totally demolishing them. So much of a hassle, that I still have them in the glove box and I took them out about 4+ years ago.. haha.. Just never wanted to fool with them again..

Good question about the carpet I was wondering the same thing. Also what about the door panels and other interior panels how do they fit with the extra material? Are they a bitch to get back on? How about fitment any gaps like on the sail panels?
