Are you guys reinstalling the plasitc liner on the doors after you cover them or just leaving them off?

Yeah, mine didn't come out looking that good. My floorboard looked like a patchwork quilt. My corners could have been done better, ie.. lay smaller pieces then big pieces on top of those. Still got the job done. Anyone thinking of doing this should. It really makes a difference.

I see the RAAMat is 0.35 lbs/sq.ft. That would mean 120 sqft of the RAAMat would be 42 pounds.
I have a specification off an eBay seller that says eDead 80 is 0.60 lbs/sq.ft. That would mean 120 sqft would be 72 lbs.

I may go with the RAAMat based on weight alone. It will probably suit my application just fine.

**Went ahead nd ordered 2 rolls of RAAMmat BXT, 3 rolls of Ensolite MLC, and adhesive. Will get pics and results when finished**

I just ordered 50 sq ft of eDead 80 on Sunday. That is going to be my project for the weekend. I plan on just doing the very rear for now and then working my way up from there when I get more money.

How does the RAAMat compare to eDead 80? Did you get the RAAMat from ebay? Whats the cost difference?

Also what is Ensolite MLC and what is it for?

I got mine straight from raamaudio's site.. If you have any questions, just email rick. He's a great guy and an even better businessman. If all business went as smooth as it will when dealing with him, the world would be a better place. Also, if you want to break a roll up into halfs, he can do it for you.

As for cost difference, I'm not sure with all the eDead secret discount codes and what not, but raamat is fair priced in my book.

Ensolite is a closed cell foam that is odor, mold, moisture, etc resistant. You take it and put it on the back of your interior panels with a spray on adhesive to further enhance sound and deaden unwanted noise and rattles.

Straight from the website:
"Ensolite, a very durable, light weight, closed cell foam is the ideal sound absorbing material for automotive applications. Most products sold for this purpose are outrageously expensive leading many DIYers to use inferior materials that do the job, but can’t stand up to your car’s harsh environment. Jute and the open celled foams you can buy in a craft shop absorb moisture, leading to mildew and nasty odors. Some “improvised” solutions even present a fire hazard.

Our Ensolite sheeting is the ideal solution. Very reasonable cost, available in the quantities you need and easy to apply with our spray adhesive."

All of raamaudios products went in/on with ease. The ensolite was easier than I thought, especially for a first timer. As for the raamat, the foil is coated in something and I didn't get cut one time. Peel and stick. Just as simple as that..

That's what I did. On their website, they actually show it going over the mat that you place on the sheetmetal of the car. I decided against that a little so I could add more raamat in the future if I decided to and not have to worry about trying to get it under the foam or whatever..

I got lots done last night. WAY easier to put on than I expected. Basically the whole bottom of the rear of the car is done. All I need to do now is the sides then I'll start working my way forward.

Like I said before, I ordered 50 sqft and after what I did last night I still have TONS of material left. I'm hoping that I can make it up to at least the driver seat with what I have left.

Straight from Fatmat's information page (I highlighted the info with Green Arrows):

I ordered 200 sq ft but so far, I've only managed to use about 145 sq ft. I will probably "double up" my floor board with the remaining amount.

Not sure about the price of eDEAD but the Fatmat (megamat version) is roughly $200 for 100 sq ft. Fatmat offers a different version called Fatmat Extreme which is roughly $90 for 100 sq ft. For people on a budget, I've heard of peeps buying 150 sq ft (of fatmat extreme) and just doubling up the layers on "problem areas". That seems to do the job nicely for a most people who have solid systems.. However, if you have EIGHT 15's or something wayyyyyyyy crazy, spend the extra money on the Megamat (or similiar branded sound deadener).
