Default HU (Pioneer AVIC D3)

Was curious at how well these perform? Also does anyone got some good pics of it installed in their car? I've seen one pic and it seems to look odd to me... Does it look odd in person? I'm interested in getting one but I don't want it, if it looks out of place...

Any opinions?

.... well technically its the same one since I bought his ....

The Pioneer AVIC-D3 has been discontinued. There are some newer/better options on the market now, namely some Kenwood units which use Garmin GPS.

Here is a pic of the Kenwood DNX5120:

That's currently installed in Whitebird00's car.

since you have the ebony interior, it probably will look a lot better than in white bird's.

The velvety-looking one in the first pic, I made. The stock-looking one in the second and third pic, I think was also a custom one-off, although there are two sponsors working on them, but not much has come out of that prospect yet. If you look around, you'll find the threads.
