thinking i might biuld my own case. and still researching on the right power supply for this build. Maybe a M2-ATX or M3 or M4, a Pico would be nice too. this thread has been really helpful so far!!

i really wouldn't install 4 gigs of ram. resume from hibernate will be very, very long. your hard drive will have to load 4 gigs of information and put it back in the memory. and unless you plan on intense gaming it wont make it any faster once loaded.

thats what i was thinking too. but im going to try and see what happens, i can always go to 2GB, plus the ram is really fast and the SSD is smoking fast too. like i said if its too much it will become my HTPC

As Flaring Afro said it will take twice as long to recover from hibernation and such.

What screen are you guys going with, I'm not sure what I want to use but I would like to spend less than 150 on it if I can.

OHH and I hear you on the finals

Less than 150, you aren't getting a touchscreen then. Or atleast anything visible in sun light.

this is probably as cheap as it gets. $170 shipped.

EDIT: looks like tech blocks ebay now. its auction 200275953621

i'd look up reviews on mp3 though. 350 isnt too dim, i think. people seem to be happy with the screen i want which is 400.

The 170 dollar one, make sure you get the 2009 model, its LED lit and you can see it in the sun. I just went outside and checked.

^ righto. that one does say 2009 model so he should be safe with that. Plus, i find stock tint to be very dark (for stock) so I think we'd be better off then most people on mp3 with their old hondas, etc that have like no tinting.

EDIT: never mind it says 2009 at top but later says 2008 so i would pm the seller about that one. i'd bet he just forgot to change in description but i'd make sure.

Yea Ive been lookin on gooddeals but that 10'' is more trouble(with the hvac relocation) than I wanna do. They do have a 8'' for 169 which might be what I go with even though I still think I would have to modify. My car has a dark tint so I'm thinkin I would be ok.

Vicinity are you talking about the one that goes to the radio?

the easiest wire to tap into is the 12v yellow wire from the stereo harness

Oh alright. Good, I think I'll need to run another wire, though.

I'm working my *** off on a harness for this screen. So far it's come out nice. I'll have pics this weekend.

Theres 2 yellow wires from the radio harness.

I tried tracing it, but I can't find the wire that comes off the fuse box.

If anyone has a pic or something, it would be UBER helpful.

The way i did it was, cut one of the wires and use a 12v reader to see which one has power when the ignition key is on, thats the one you use.
