Sub install problem

Sub install problem Problem -
Sub does not sound right
Sub thumps when amp turns off
When volume is all the way down on the head unit i still hear a steady low vibration from the sub
Sub freaks out when volume is up
Here is what I am working with -
JVC Arsenal KD-AR7000
Kicker KX600.4
10" JL in a stealth box
Stock monsoon amp is running all the stock speakers, woofers, and tweeters
Setup -
I had this same setup in my camaro and I am currently transplanting it into my trans am.
In the camaro I had 4 speakers wired to AMP1 of the Kicker, and the sub run off AMP2 of the kicker.
In the trans am I am only using the amp to run the sub. Thus I am only using AMP2. I have the sub bridged using L+ and R-.
I have checked to make sure I am properly grounded and that the sub is hooked up with + to + and - to -
What should I try next to troubleshoot this problem?

Moved my ground from the bracket below the antenna motor, to the sheet metal of the wheel well.
Made sure I sanded it good.
Here is how my amp is setup. If i turn the gain and bass boost down the idle sound (when HU volume is at 0) is less noticable
