Default Headlights blink??

it seems like my headlights tend to blink from time to time, they dont ever go off completely but almost appear as if switching from high beams to dims but without the lights actually getting birght enough to be on high beams. I know the previous owner installed a viper security system with remote stock. I checked the wires at the headlight housing and they all appear to be fine.
Any advice you guys could give my would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks
Derek

How old are your bulbs? There are some people (including me) who have gotten a bad batch of Sylvanias over the last two years that will cut out and come back on unpredictably.

Default Good question

I just got the car before halloween and i dont see anything about the bulbs being changed in the maintenance history. they seem to only blink for less than half a second, almost quicker than the eye can see. lol

funny you mention that... I just bought my car a few months ago and have the same problem. It doesn't appear to have any effect on the interior lights (gauges, etc) but the headlights just... dim for a brief second. I'm going to swap to HID's and see what that does. Too lazy to grab my meter and trace down wires!

Default Let me know if that helps

i was wanting to replace my headlight housings and that would be a great excuse to budget it in sooner.

Thanks

I swapped housings and that didn't change anything. My friend gave me some as a core to paint, so I could drive my car while I worked on them. I kept my bulbs, though. I'll let you know if/when I get mine fixed, you do the same!
