Yep....Beltronics STi Driver is hands down the winner......says its the only Radar detector undectectable by anything out there on the market today here and abroad.

Now i just gotta save up for one or find one used.

VA is just a speed trap with their no detector allowed laws and i drive thru there alot.

I have a V1 hardwired in my car and love it. I live in Northern Virginia and have never had a problem with cops detecting it. I have mine wired in above my rear view mirror. I love the V1. It has saved me countless times. The only downside is that it finds automatic doors very easily. Wish they could incorporate the GPS feature like Escort has.

I lived in VA for over 3 years and had my Escort 8500 X50 hardwired and mounted about the rear view mirror. I never had any problems with cops detecting it. I was pulled over a bunch of times and they never even knew it was there

I have an older Beltronics 995 and it works great and ive never been caught with it. Have it mounted above the rear view mirrow as well and ive been pulled over and the cop didnt see it. (pulled for no front tag)

From what ive read, in order to get detected the cops have to use a certain band of radar which is basically a radar detector detector to know that your running one. Almost all the ones on the market should be invisable to that band and wont get seen unless its visable to them.

I would love to buy the new Escort I think it is, that uses GPS while your driving and after you pass the same auto. opening door a couple times it blocks out the false signal....really F'in cool if you drive through the same area a lot.

Has anybody ever been stopped in California cuz they detected your radar detector? I mean they sell them at radio shack and wal-mart, i didnt think they would care so much. But hey, i dont know much about this subject.

And i got a cobra and has worked great, saved me from a few tickets.
