Default Kenwood cd receiver installation

Im installing an old Kenwood cd player i found laying in my closet. I picked up a GM wiring adapter harness. my only question i have, on the kenwood there is a blue wire that is for a power antenna...i have an aftermarket amp for a 10 inch sub, do i hook the remote amp wire to that power antenna wire or do i tap it into something else?

Nope, that blue wire is the one you need to turn "ON" that amp.

Yes.. I am not sure about the amp but on the head units its a standard. The blue wire is always power antenna/remote turn on. I would check in your amps owners manual and see if that blue wire on your is for the remote turn. If you don't have the monual.. I would put a very small fuse on that wire blue wire coming from the head unit and try it out. You don't want to burn the remote turn on circuitry on that Kenwood.

good advice, tried that and it worked great. after getting the wiring harness for gm cars, the last wire left was indeed a blue wire that said "remote on" on the wire. so that made things a tone easier, the kenwood amp wire went to the power antenna so good thing i didn't try to hook it up to that one lol.
i appreciate the help
ahh gotta love **** that installs soooo easily!
thanks again
