Hey guys, I just recieved the lows and hi's and purchased 9006 bulbs, but the bulbs that came with the fixtures are 9006 and have a straight plug. the higher temp bulbs that I purchased separately are 9006 bust the recieving plug is right angled and doesn't fit in the stock baskets. What have you guys done to make this work?

Ok, so this is a very tempting little conversion. Seems very simple & straight forward as well as wallet friendly. I have been pondering doin HID's since I bought my car & this winter it just might happen with these prices.
So who just left their high beams stock? Anyone? I'm guessing since the HID's dont like being flicked on & off as high beams it would basically be a waste of money to even order the LMC high beam housings? From what I gather these low beam upgrades are so much better than stock you really shouldnt ever even need the highs correct?
If this is right then technically you could do the low/fog conversion with housing for about $105+shipping. And if its that much better than stock & the bulbs last longer than replacement halogens thats a damn nice price for a worthwile upgrade especially compared to other options on the market.
Can someone please verify my line of thinking is correct. I am very interested in little upgrades like this but honestly havent spent much time researching, so excuse my ignorance.

ordering high beam housings wouldnt be a complete waste of money , you would want your high/low housings to match .. but true , after HID low beam upgrade , the highs wont make much of a difference..
if you just want the low beam housings and HID for low and fogs , its going to be 140 $ . 35$ for each housing and 35 $ for each HID kit too..

Verdad Gallardo Looks like this is the route I'll go in the future then. I'm not worried about the housings matching. I'll just leave the cheapo halogens in the highs. No one will notice at night if the housings match & during the day they are flipped down anyway. Thats $70 I cant see spending just so housings match.

True , no one will realize the difference at night .. in my case , the whole thing started when my passenger side high beam died .. so i thought i'd change them all.. but def. go for the HID's on low-beams .. great improvement and relatively cheap

I just sprung for the 35w, 6000k, and the LMC housings immediately after finding this. Lows and Fogs too!

I was in my local autoparts store, talking to a friend of mine who works there, and I brought this up after I mentioned the HIR's that were brought up earlier in this thread.. somewhere.
Nokya sells halogen bulbs that have 100w output in the 9005/9006 bulbs, that are straight (not 90* angled)
They're only like 25$ thru them, and are at 7000*K...

I just don't like that they're just white, I'll have to live with it I guess....unless someone wants to trade some 6k for 8k bulbs
Well fellas... Installed the 6000k fogs last night. It was a straight up and easy install minus the fact I did it at night and had to shove a flashligh in my mouth. lol
Am very pleased!!! They look sooo much better and you can actually see with them!!! Now time to save for the low beams.
P.S. Thanks to everyone who provided info in this thread. If it wasnt for you guys I would still be stuck with cheap *** fogs.
