Plain and simple pretty much any CD produced in the last 5 years has been mastered with boosted lows and highs. This is because the cds are engineered for the crappy boomboxes and factory systems most people have. The problem with this boosting is it causes quite a bit of distortion as well as increase in volume. This is what is causing your speakers to "bottom out", nothing wrong with your system thats just how CDs are engineered. Gotta love the music industry not only do they put out a bunch of crap but the audio quality is shitty too.
