are stealth boxes normally secured down or do they just sit freely?
has anyone mounted an amp on the wall at the back of the car without an amp rack?
how well does mounting an amp in the spare tire hole work?

I believe they sit freely but not 100%.
You would need an amp rack as there is no way to really secure the amp to the wall.
Look at how others have secured there amps in the spare tire area and ask them questions. Just dont put the amp in there unsecured.

I'm at this very minute in the process of removing my sail panels (uh...the interior plastic walls next to the rear seats and also the hatch) because I bought a new amp, head unit, sub, and 4 speakers, so I'm going to be rewiring everything.
Won't the stealthbox rattle if it just sits freely? I bought a Subthump one. Is there really nothing that secures it down?
Also, I got a Subthump Amp rack. It came with just the rack..how do you secure this thing down? What do you secure it to? Obviously the back wall of the trunk/hatch, but with what? screws, rope, chewing gum? Do you have to drill something to secure it to the wall?

On two different fbodys I cut a piece of .5 or .75 mdf to size pulled carpet back slid it down into there and secured it to the metal/body. Made holes to run my wires thorugh and screwed amps through carpet down into board. Ill try and find pic(s)
