12 ga speaker wire is usually plenty for any setup. I've run up to 8ga speaker wire in spl vehicles but its really overkill....

Im using 12GA speaker wire for mine and a 2GA ground and I went ahead and went to the pass side seatbelt bracket. That way its somewhere I could wire brush off the paint to get a solid ground and not feel bad about it lol.

Can you ground your amp to the are where the spare tire is supposed to be? Drill a hole and use a bolt?
