Default How to lock my doors WITHOUT arming alarm?

So I have a problem I've never encountered on my previous firebirds: When I lock the door with the power lock button from either the passenger or driver side, it arms the alarm. I don't have the key fob for this car so I don't know if I would need that to stop this, but how do I keep the alarm from arming when the doors are locked? It's really annoying since I can't lock my doors without setting off the alarm after opening them.

Lock it with the key or with the slider.

There were directions on here somewhere that show how to change the arming for the alarm.

I believe you can even turn it off completely.

There's a long procedure on how to do this in the 2nd section of the owners manual. When you change the setting, you will not be able to use the alarm at all. (Because you'll need the key fob to arm it and you don't have a key fob.)

Or... you can epoxy the doors shut, bondo the gaps for a clean look, roll down the windows, and enter/exit Dukes of Hazard style.

Or you could just buy a key fob for $25 and program it to the car.
