i dont mean to hijack but i just have a quick question for anybody with experience. Do all Directed (Viper, Clifford, Automate, etc) alarm/remote starts hook up the same way? My gf has one installed on her car and i was wondering if replacing it with a newer one would be a real hassle.

Most you should be able to. Depends on how old it is.

Oh, OP, PLEASE post up the diagrams you have and such for installing it. I've been wanting to install my for a couple months now, but didn't wanna end up with my car torn apart for a week trying to trace down little problems and such with the install.

spy25,
only thing u gotta do is cut old harness and wire new harness to old harness existing wire.... best bet is to get old wiring diagram and match it to new one

http://www.bfranker.badz28.com/fbody/alarm96up.htm

The information in the link above helped me install my Viper 5900 alarm with remote start and remote up/down windows on my 02 Z28. There were a few things that I had to tweak but nearly followed the instructions step by step and the install went perfectly. Definitely read it a few times and make sure you have a long time for the install.
