Default Amp visible?

Hi, I'm thinking of putting in 2 12s and an amp pretty soon in the future. My main question is since I'm thinking of mounting the amp in the rear behind the seats and i was wondering has anybody had their rear hatch broken in for their amp?

I have two amps mounted right behind my rear seats. I didn't think they were to visible becasue of the tint but my car was still broken in to. Fortunately I caught the bastards in the act and the only thing they got were crossovers. 6liter sells a hidden amp rack that will hide your stuff http://6litereaterdesigns.com/store/...roducts_id=206

**** yeah it will get broken into. I had them bust the drivers window in a hatch car and take the sub and amp. I didnt care about the **** bc I didnt have much money into it but it still pissed you off. I had a system in my camaro for a little while when I first got it and I had one amp on one side of the floor. I took a kinda flat cardboard box (about the same size as the amp) and put it on the other side next to the amp. I got a piece of scrap speakerbox carpet (or black carpet would work) and wrapped it from right up next to the backseat to up on the flapper divider. It blended so well with the interior that with the hatch closed you thought that was the floor in the back. It hid everything. Kinda like a false floor.

Mine was back there but never had the car broken into. Had tint as well but I would never park the car in a questionable place either. I did however move the divider over the amp when parking at the mall or places like that so no one could see it. Between that and the tint it was impossible to see the amp.
I also took precautions like not playing my radio loud in parking lots I was going to park the car in. I also kept it low in my neighborhood so I wouldn't draw attention to the stereo although the car drew attention for other reasons...cam, LT's, GMMG cat back...at least it wasn't something they could smash and grab quickly.

Mine is under the sub box...its doesnt slide around or nothin. I wouldnt mount it visible EVER. The subs and amp arent expensive, its jut the hassle that comes along with getting your window smashed!
