Let me guess from the beam pattern and light position... You just rerouted them to the stock fog light locations. Sigh. If that's the case, then I'm severely disappointed in this thread. lol.

I did not, in fact. Fog lights are still perfectly functional.

Here it is: the big anticlimax!

Hate if you will, but as far as I know, I'm the only one in the world with headlights like this. Granted they may or may not be "legal" due to the proximity to the ground, but I'm not all that worried about it.

In case you were curious, I do still plan on following up on the original design from earlier in the thread, but I needed to have functional headlights to make the car driveable (while the 6000K fogs will do, they really just aren't sufficient). Besides, my turn signal housings were shot anyway, so I figured why the hell not?

Obviously, they aren't finished... I had them in the car for a while as they are now, so they're a bit dirty (the lens is out for cleaning), but now they're back out and I'm in the process of making a fiberglass/acrylic housing for them to keep them protected from the elements.

Anyway, without further ado...

And for those of you wondering "What will you do now for turn signals?" ...let's just say they'll be in soon

I'm really disappointed. All this talk of a different mechanism to lift the popups and also give it the lazy eye look and we get this? Its interesting...that's about it. Sorely misleading to say the least.

Like I said, the lazy-eye is still in the works, but I needed to have something to drive with in the meantime. These work really well, as seen in the first pic, and still allow me to work with the actual headlights.

You asked for it.

Have any idea what time frame you want to have the real deal done?

See above for my reaction. With the lights in that position I'm surprised that that much light even made it past the curves of the bumper. Still waiting...

why not just find a rotational or linear actuator? it would be easy to find one to run on 12v...

What about an actuator from HPE cutout? theyre sealed, solid and can be easily wired into the existing harness.. its already rotational too...

A few updated pics for those that are still interested. Got the fiberglass housings done, now I just need to work on getting a better mounting system. The two screws that originally held the turn signals just aren't cutting it. Anyway, fiberglass, bondo, and black primer:
