Been there done that... I was at a party at a friend's house and there were people "busy" in the Bathroom. I decided to go take a leak on the wooden fence. Boy was I ever surprised!

Default 96 Jeep Cherokee Classic Signal problem

Sorry for posting this here but cant figure out how to start my own post.
My 96 jeep cherokee left turn signal when put on my left/Center and Right brake light flashes with it. The right side works fine and the 4 ways work fine aswell. And all brake lights work right too. Only when i do the left turn signal does this happen. Ive checked bulbs and cant seem to find anything wrong,
Please Help

You are aware that you've just joined a GM LS1 forum? With a Jeep?

Have you made any changes recently such as installing a trailer hitch?

Does the same problem occur with the front turn signal or just the back?

Default Signal

Front does fine. Blinks normal
Only the left rear turn signal seems to be tied into the full brake system lights and makes all brake lights flash with it.
Left rear also turns solid when pushing the brake pedal

I'm not familiar with that model Jeep... does it use the same bulb for brake and turn signals (i.e. all red tail lights) or does it have a separate section of the lens for turn signals?

It does have different sections but the lights seem to be the same style

Oh, well that eliminates one possibility I was considering. On vehicles like Firebirds that use the same red lens for both brake and turn signal, you can get those symptoms by mistakenly installing a single filament bulb like a 1056 or 3156 in place of the original dual filament 1157 or 3157 bulb.

Try removing the left side turn signal bulb and checking again. That will tell you if it's a wiring problem or possibly something in the socket.

I took the light out and it doesnt fix it. Would the rebuilt motor being put in have anything to do with light Grounds? And the Trailer light hook up i have is wired with the T style connector you can buy for the types of vehicles you have, and it looks like new still.

At this point you probably have to start checking things with a multimeter. Starting on the left side, check for continuity between the turn signal socket and the brake socket on the same side. Other than ground, the two sockets should not be connected in any way.
