Looking good but the way those tweeters are mounted, the sharp edge at the front of the tweeter will cause major diffraction that will hurt sound quality (though nowhere near as badly as having tweeters in the dash like my G8... ugh).

Just curious; did you remove the mesh from the stock speaker grills?

Mesh from the stock grills? Not quite sure what you're referring to, but I'll have to check it out. My grills clips are a bit broken on some of them. Guess it had an abusive past owner!

Gotta make a trip to the junkyard soon for a few interior pieces and such just to run some trials on.. Thinking about an interior overhaul next. I love the flat black look maybe with some hints of red and black leather. Going to photoshop some stuff later on to get an idea of what I'm looking for. Can't wait!

I want to modernize the car a bit on the interior and sprucen things up. Not sure if SEM Trim paint will hold up on commonly used surfaces or how it will even look in the end. The biggest bonus is that it won't tiger stripe from what I've read, so it's a bonus in my book... Just don't want to do the dash so we'll see how that goes. May just end up redoing the carpet and the seats.

Black Alcantera Leather with Red Alcantera Inserts?
Black Alcantera with Red Houndstooth inserts?

To many options for me. Gotta get to the drawing board. And these sunfaded door panels are becoming a nuisance. Will be taking my Back to Black to them tomorrow and see how it goes.

When I did mine in my Trans Am I did. It isn't necessary but I thought it was kind of cool to see the CDT logo through the grill. Sound wise it doesn't make hardly any difference.

Maybe I missed it, but is your new amp powering just the sub - or all of your speakers?

Just wondering, whats the best way to remove the mesh/fabric from the inside of the speaker grills? My large ones have rings from where the adhesive was and I was unable to remove it from the small ones without it looking like crap.

Cool

I just got the Kee Audio speaker package installed and it sounds GREAT!

Crystal clear vocals is the 1st thing I noticed. Great clear sound overall.
Happier than hell right now!!

Which package did you get?

I want to get a set from Kee, but having 2 kids and a wife on one income, I have to budget what I want. I was looking at the package for 289 but are the other packages that much better? I just want it to sound better, I'm not looking to go to shows/sounds offs.

$289 package. Came with all CDT speakers.
I changed the head unit as well with a Sony.
Kept wiring and Monsoon amp.
Paid $$ to make steering wheel controls work with Sony so everything works and sounds awesome.
