Default '98 Monsoon tape questions: in-dash CD or changer?

I currently have the Monsoon tape player in my 1998 Z28 with CD changer controls. Would there be any problems I should look out for if I were to buy the AC Delco changer to mount in the rear of if I were to swap the in-dash unit out for the Monsoon in-dash CD player? Any differences between the years or incompatibilities? Thanks.

You can swap the in-dash single CD head unit for your cassette unit with no problems - simple plug and play. However, depending on what year CD head unit you get, you may not be able to control a CD changer with it. All years of the cassette head units would control the CD changer but only late 99 and newer CD head units would. Just try to get a 2000 or newer CD head unit to be sure that it will work with the changer.
