Back to the Stock Headunit

I have a '99 Camaro with an aftermarket Alpine headunit. I'd like to go back to the stock Monsoon one.

Would it be a simple connection, or will there be more involved?

Should be direct plug and play, as long as who ever installed the alpine unit used harness adapters and did not splice anything.

my alpine is heads over the stock HU.......would never think of going back

The biggest difference is that any decent aftermarket head unit will produce noticeably better sound in terms of both richness and clarity. The factory HU produces enormous amounts of distortion at relatively low volume levels which is one of the causes of blown speakers.
